That's why I customize my sessions according to each individual that schedules a yoga session with me. There are beginner yoga positions that can help to get you started while you build up to more advanced yoga positions. If you stay consistent with yoga about once a week, even if it is not a scheduled session, a positive change can be seen within a month's time. The muscles will begin to loosen allowing you to bend and stretch in ways that you may not have been able to before. In addition to flexibility, it is very likely that you will experience a reduction of pain in the focus areas while you practice yoga.
